Starting fresh

It’s the new year and it’s time for a few resolutions:

Pay attention to my blog. I’ve been busy and my blog has suffered. I just realized that I have over 50 (50!) half-finished posts dating back to September. Some of them are even kinda good.

Eat more bacon. I know this sounds like an odd resolution, but I feel like my blog has wandered from its bacon roots and I want more posts about bacon. Look for additional bacon reviews, coming soon!

Try new restaurants. I am a creature of habit and I have been eating at the same four restaurants for the past three months. I am surprisingly not sick of said restaurants yet, but really, it’s time to explore new things.

Finish off last year’s to do list. Looking over last year’s to do list, I realize that I only accomplished one thing.

I have my work cut out for me—wish me luck.

Happy new year!

luck! happy new year to you!

Eating more bacon doesn’t have anything to do with this “specialized” food blog trend that the LA Times boasts about, does it? Hmmm….

Just joking! I heart bacon too. In moderation.

Eddie, the words ‘bacon’ and ‘moderation’ should never go together. Shame on you!

    Happy New Year!

MORE BACON! My heart just skipped a beat!

I hope one resolution is increasing your posts back to former levels.

And what’s with this Eddie character and moderation in bacon? He some kind of cominist ‘er sumpin’? You want me and Doc Biggles should talk to him?

  6. megwoo says:

Yes! That’s my number one priority, Kevin. A measly two posts a month is getting ridiculous.

And yes, that would be great if you and Biggles could talk some sense into Eddie. Hee hee.

  7. megwoo says:

Eddie, I just now read the LA Times article. I liked this part especially: “If a food blog is ‘slow,’ does that mean the blogger might actually have a life?”

Maybe my lack of posts is really a good thing. Heh.

Happy new year Megan…. I look forward to reading all the bacon posts to come!

  9. Lorraine says:

Yay! Looking forward to more bacon. Can’t ever get enough bacon.

    Thank you, Steve & Lorraine!

    Can I make a suggestion?

Lechon Kawali. A classic Filipino dish for deep fried pork belly that is just evil (I mean, in a good way, of course).

Be sure to warn your HMO provider before you make reservations.

    Bacon Press,
I just looked up some recipes online; Lechon Kawali sounds fantastic! Can’t wait to make it at home. Thanks for the heads up!
