After seeing the food poems at The Grocery Cart Poet, I decided to try and locate some bacon poems. I didn’t quite find what I was looking for, but I did find some unusual food poems…

Hey, thanks for linking my Pork Rind poem ;-)
I still haven’t come up with one about bacon, but I should because my husband thinks it deserves it’s own food group.
I love your Pork Rind poem! It makes we want to try them… can you believe I’ve never had pork rinds?!
I agree with your husband and hope you someday write an ode to bacon. Let me know if you do!
Hello again—it’s The Grocery Cart Poet. YOu asked me to let you know if I wrote an ode to bacon. Well, I did it. At least, I think it’s an ode! After looking at innumerable references, I decided that nobody knows for certain just what is required to make a poem an “ode” so I picked one I liked and copied the rhyme scheme and meter….’course, I changed the words a bit.
I love it!
