Jook

It’s an annual tradition to go back over to my uncle’s the day after Thanksgiving for jook—which is a Chinese rice porridge made with the left over turkey and carcass.

It was delicious!

    My mom made turkey jook too!!! :)

    She doesn’t like me putting soy sauce in mine because she says it makes it dark. We didn’t have green onions, but we had cilantro.

    i’ve never tried cilantro in jook, but it sounds great. i’m going to check that out!
